- 1 clove garlic, finely diced
- 1 stick celery, finely diced
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 4 tbsp Mitoku Organic Authentic Mirin
- 1 400g can of chopped tomatoes
- 1 stock cube
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 sprig of thyme
- Oil, for frying
- Heat a little oil in a saucepan, add the diced vegetables and fry, then add the mirin and simmer to reduce.
- Add the can of chopped tomato, stock cube, bay leaf, and sprig of thyme and simmer until the sauce thickens. Season to taste and serve with omelet or pasta.
